Support from the American public

Starting in October 2010, we began to appeal to the American public for support. So far we have received over $23,000 in donations from 230 ordinary Americans. These donations were made to GSSAAA since AEF had not started fundraising at the time the donations were made.

Under the auspices of African Education Fund (AEF), we plan to ratchet up fundraising and solicit funds from not only ordinary Americans but from corporations and other institutions with a philanthropic proclivity who have the spirit of “ubuntu” and therefore agree with the Zulu proverb, “Umuntu ngumuntu ngabantu” (A person is a person because of other people).
